Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I apologize for being a minute late in the first round. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister for Roads the following Question by Private Notice. 16 Nov 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Minister is quite eloquent on this matter, but he has missed out one point, that is the issue of diversion markings which are not there between Juja Town and Mang’u High School. But they have opened one side of the road that was closed the day before yesterday. Could he undertake to the House that electric diversion signs will be put in place forthwith?

16 Nov 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, as you heard from hon. Karua, we lack police supervision. I wonder whether the Minister can take it up with the Commissioner of Police to make sure that Juja Police Station has a traffic department, which it does not have now. Anytime there is a problem between Juja and Thika they have to get traffic police from Thika Town itself. Could he do that to ease traffic congestion on that road?

16 Nov 2011 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. In addition to the information the Assistant Minister will bring to the House, I would request that he brings in photos from the camera that is said to be with the KTN. He should also bring records of these policemen’s cell phones, which is said they were called to their deaths. Can the Assistant Minister also avail the records of these policemen’s phone calls of that particular day when they were killed?

16 Nov 2011 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I entirely agree with what you have just said that the matter should have been dealt with yesterday. However, you heard the hon. Minister, Mr. Shitanda say that he has a problem with Members of this House. He said that today. So, he should substantiate that matter now so that it does not become a matter of yesterday or he withdraws it.

15 Nov 2011 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. You realize that you gave us an opportunity to ask Questions by Private Notice because of the urgency of the matter. Within 24 hours from the time that the Minister gets the Question, he should bring an answer to the House. This matter has been in the House for three weeks and yet, the Minister continues to demolish homes of Kenyans.

15 Nov 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, let me thank the Assistant Minister for finally giving the House the criteria which they use to gazette or to declare these sub-divisions. Just as the Member for Mutito had asked when those areas will be gazetted, there are many places in the Republic that meet these criteria which have applied for divisions and sub-divisions. When will the Ministry create those divisions in accordance with the criteria the Assistant Minister has given? When will he gazette the ones for Mutito?
