  • 26 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady. It is not the issue of the level of education of the electorate. It is the level of education of the clerks. They are uniform in the whole country. So, those clerks who are registering people twice should be stopped by this clause. view
  • 25 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security the following Question by Private Notice. view
  • 25 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: (a) Is the Minister aware that five people were brutally attacked in Gatundu Town, a few metres from the Administration Police Post, on 16th August, 2011? (b)What measures is the Minister taking to ensure that the residents of the town are safe from the gang that has been terrorizing them for the past few months? view
  • 25 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I thank the Assistant Minister for that very elaborate answer. You have heard him talk about the arrest and prosecution of the youth. The following night, I happened to visit Gatundu. All those who were rounded by the police, picked and put in Mariams - the vehicles that the police use - were released after they were asked for bribes of Kshs2,000 each. Finally, my last question is this: He has ... view
  • 25 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is not a laughing matter; it is a serious matter of security. It was on television. view
  • 25 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I think it was on the 18th. I could get you a clip if you so ask for it. view
  • 25 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: I will certainly do that, Mr. Speaker, Sir. view
  • 25 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: I am not a foreigner! view
  • 24 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, surprisingly, the Assistant Minister has said that, that young man died of cancer and he has given a postmortem report. In actual sense, it is not a postmortem report. It is just a letter. Is it in order for the Assistant Minister to mislead the House that a postmortem report is here and yet, it is only a letter to the DCIO from the Medical Superintendent? Could he produce a true postmortem report that indicates the cause of death of that teacher? It is known that, that teacher was beaten up by police officers inside the cells ... view
