  • 29 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: THAT, aware that Article 42 of the Constitution accords every person the right to a clean and healthy environment and that Article 69(1)(d) mandates the State to encourage public participation in the management, protection and conservation of the environment; further aware that deforestation is one of the main contributors to climate change; noting that Kenya has not been spared by the effects of global warming and climate change as a result of deforestation amongst other aspects; deeply concerned that this has already adversely affected the agricultural sector which is the backbone of the rural economy and also lead to severe ... view
  • 7 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I would like to take this opportunity to convey my heartfelt sorrow and message of sympathy and comfort. The cruel hand of death has robbed us of His Excellency the Governor of Nyeri. In fact, we were very shocked because we were together in Eldoret Town with Governor Mandago, and all Members of Parliament from Eldoret, campaigning for His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya. It is my singular honour to convey the heartfelt sorrow of my constituency, and that of the people of Uasin Gishu County. view
  • 7 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: Life is all about God. It is God who gives and takes life. The only thing that I want to leave with the Members of this august House is that it is written in the scriptures, Mathew 16:26: “What does it benefit a man or what does it profit a man to own all world and lose his own soul?” Mine is only to say that all of us shall leave this world, but it is good to leave a legacy. I wish to take this opportunity to tell hon. Members that we lost a great peace maker; namely, the ... view
  • 7 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, what happened in Laikipia is, indeed, very sad. Killing innocent animals is uncalled for. In fact, when it comes to conflict resolution in cattle rustling areas, I condemn this in the strongest terms possible. We saw what happened on television. It was sad. I support Hon. Peris. I want all Kenyans to be very objective. What happened was criminal. I appeal to the operational arm of the Government, especially those who are in charge of the police, to take action. I rise to support the Motion, but sincerely ask the Inspector-General of Police to take action ... view

  • 14 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: Now, let me say something about the President’s Speech. May I take this opportunity and, indeed, it is my singular honour to thank each and every individual who voted for me to be in this august House. I thank all of them. It is me, the only human soul alive, who defeated the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, Hon. Samuel Chepkong’a. The will of the people was expressed and it was, indeed, respected. That is why I am standing here today to contribute. view
  • 14 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: The President of the Republic of Kenya gave an outstanding Speech. He is the President CGH and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces of the Republic of Kenya and I have known him. I wish to encourage each one of you to campaign for the President on the platform of unity in diversity and development agenda. The 10th Parliament delivered the Constitution. The 11th Parliament implemented and enriched the devolution institutional framework for delivering… view
