• 7 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Chiefs of Defence of Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda met on 2nd December, 2011, to consider the draft strategy concept paper which took into account the decision of the IGAD Summit. Following the meeting of the Chiefs of Defence Staff, the AU Peace and Security Council met in Addis Ababa on 2nd December, 2011, and endorsed the outcome of the 19th Extraordinary Session of the IGAD Assembly of Heads of State and Governments, welcomed the joint security operations by the KDF and called upon Kenya to favourably consider the integration of its forces to AMISOM. view
