  • 14 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: The third element is the question of Muthurwa Bus Stop. I wonder whether he has ever been there. This is one of the entry to the city. The Muthurwa commuter hub is where all the matatus from the Eastlands drop and pick their passengers. Thousands of people come into Nairobi everyday using that route. If you see the appalling condition in which it is, he would not have said this is a matter that we are thinking of something about. It is a matter of urgency. It is important to our city’s economy, as well as the movement of population ... view
  • 13 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I also wanted to raise an issue relating to a Ministerial Statement on the demolitions of which the Attorney-General was to present on behalf of the Government. We were told last week that he was away on Government business. I just wanted to know about the status of that Statement. view
  • 13 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Asante sana, Bi.
  • 13 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Bi.
  • 8 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Roads view
  • 8 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I wanted to say that the roads in Kamukunji had been in an appalling state long before the rains came. I also wanted to comment on the second answer that was given by the Assistant Minister, that he is not aware of the repairs and the upgrading that was done, given the fact that, in fact, 1st Avenue was built by a Chinese company and the 2nd Avenue was upgraded by a Kenyan company, and within a very short time, both roads have fallen into disrepair. This is one of the reasons why I ... view
  • 8 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: I would like to ask the Assistant Minister when he expects Bundia Association Consultants to submit its report on the improvement of roads in Eastleigh. The second question that I would like to ask him also is how much money the Ministry is spending on the upgrading of 2nd Avenue, and when that road will be completed. I also wanted to know when the Ministry will be issuing the tender for the busy 2nd Avenue, which the Assistant Minister has said is likely to be repaired. What plans are there to upgrade, or repair, the roads around the key economic ... view
