Can the Quorum Bell be rung?
Order, Members. Unfortunately, we are unable to raise the requisite Quorum. I therefore adjourn the House until this afternoon at 2.30 p.m. Is there any Member coming?
Allow 30 more minutes.
No. It is not allowed. Fortunately, we have a House of rules. This one is expressly stated in the Standing Orders. Standing Order No. 34 clearly says that if we do not raise the requisite Quorum within the time we have given, we adjourn. We have given enough time and rung the Quorum Bell for over 15 minutes. So, Members, the House stands adjourned until this afternoon, at 2.30 p.m.
The House rose at 9.54 a.m.
