Caroline Gaita is the Executive Director, Mzalendo Trust effective from May 2019. Caroline is a governance, communications and advocacy specialist with demonstrated success in leading and building sustainable programmes and strategic leadership in the governance, tourism, humanitarian and development sectors. She is an ardent advocate for the Constitutional promises of public participation, integrity, equality, devolution, access to justice and accountability. Her entry for the National Integrity Alliance won the best Public Affairs Campaign at the 2017 Public Relations Society of Kenya and the 2018 Africa SABRE Awards. She is a past facilitator for the Young Political Advisors (POLADS) and a member of the National Multi Agency Working Group Task Force on school titling. Prior to her appointment, she was the Campaign Co-ordinator for the Shule Yangu Alliance hosted by Transparency International-Kenya. She has previously worked at the Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution (CIC), the Society for International Development, The Catholic Organization for Relief and Development Aid (CORDAID) and the Tourism Trust Fund. She holds an M.A. in Development Studies, a BA in Political Science/Sociology and Diploma in Public Relations among other professional qualifications.

Loise Mwakamba is the Communication Officer. She is a trained journalist and creative with experience in Electronic Media, Marketing and Digital Advertising. She has experience in article writing, feature story production in video and audio format and developing digital communication strategies. She holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Mass Communication majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Advertising and hopes to bridge the gap between Kenyans and MPs through various communication avenues.

Jefferson Gathumbi serves as the Finance and Administration Officer. He holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree, Finance major from Strathmore University and is currently undertaking his Certified Public Accountancy studies. He joined Mzalendo in April 2018 and has since played a big part in strengthening the financial systems at Mzalendo.

Jessica Musila, is Senior Advisor, Mzalendo Trust available to the organisation on basis of need. Until May 2019, she served as the organisation's Executive Director. She first became involved with the blog in June 2011 and steered its evolution to an organisation in November 2013. During her tenure the organisation became known for its Annual Reportcard on MPs performance, Peoples 'Shujaaz' Awards, Research on Youth, Women MPs and anti-corruption, the informative weekly Newsletter, Live Tweets of Plenary Business, the offline engagement via the #21516 Mobile phone short-code and Dokeza - the bill annotation platform. The Mzalendo site - - became a trendsetter in Africa, inspiring similar initiatives in Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Uganda. She has a BA in Communication and Community Development from Daystar University and a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Erfurt, Germany.
