When you read the Report, you do realize that the County Assembly perhaps has prosecuted a very important point. It varies from county to county, but around 80-cent of the people who vote for us to come to this House cannot afford health services from the private hospitals. Therefore, the difference between life and death for 80 per cent of the citizens of our various county governments depends on the soundness of the health docket in that county. We need to send a clear message that governors need to take their oath of office and the resources that are being channeled to them seriously. They should manage them in a way that Kenyans can believe that in 2010, it was the right decision to move the country from managing our resources centrally to devolving them to our various county governments.
