• 31 Jul 2024 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, with the provisions of the New Clause 16, if you are a member of the public and have bought into a private development and the developer has set aside land either to dupe you, or having it set aside for use, this provision of the law can be cited. It will ensure that the private developer is actually registered for the intended good of that private development. This is not only to public institutions. view

It is a Bill that will provide a framework to facilitate local ownership, control and financing of activities connected with exploitation of gas, oil and other petroleum resources to provide framework to increase local value capture along the value chain in the exploration of gas, oil and other petroleum resources and for connected purposes. Why is it so? I have followed that case up to the ruling that was given by the High Court in that particular case.
