• 9 Dec 2014 in National Assembly: The reason for this extraordinary measure taken by the PAC is that when this Committee took office in May 2013, we inherited a five-year backlog. As legislators who observe very strict fidelity to the Constitution of this Republic, we know that the backlog of accounts was in direct violation of the Constitution, which requires accounts to be considered by the Auditor-General. It requires the Auditor-General to report here and this House to consider the reports of the PAC within nine months.
