Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is a House of records. I want to put the record straight on what Sen. Wambua has said, that the Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations has delayed in intervening in these issues. We did not delay. We moved fast and consulted the local leaders, including our Deputy Speaker, so that this issue could be solved. We were advised that the matter was being handled by local leaders and that they would inform us later. Before they completed their consultation, the matter went to court. Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I am confident that every Senator in this House is competent enough. We have argued the whole day about competency. I have no problem with the Committee. However, the paragraph before the names states that ‘The Senate has resolved.’ This Senate is still debating. We have never resolved it. In future, you have to correct that sentence. Secondly, this matter falls under the Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations yet the Chairman is not included.
