Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 47 of the Bill be amended in sub-clause (2) by inserting the words “in respect of industrial fishing or to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand shillings or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding three months in respect of artisanal fishing” immediately after the words “or to both”. This is just to separate the two penalties. That is, the people who do large-scale fishing for commercial purposes and the small person who does it for domestic consumption.
