The position of the Deputy Leader of the Minority Party is clear. To make it clearer, the scheduling of business and the preparation of a Supplementary Order Paper are the sole mandate of the House Business Committee (HBC), according to the Standing Orders. It is now necessary to amend the proposed section in order to clarify the intention. When we were doing it last time, we left Section 6 hanging. It was not very clear. It has now been deleted and substituted with Section 10 which specifically gives the Public Service Commission the power to do the advertisement, interviews, shortlisting and submitting of three names. view
