  • 25 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: There are a number of sections that have been inserted by this new Bill to the current principal Act. For example, this Bill anticipates the dissolution of the District and Provincial Environment Committees. It also dissolves the National Environment Council (NEC). All this is done in order to reduce duplication of functions and ensure prudent use of State resources as anticipated in Article 201 of the Constitution, both in terms of the spirit and the letter. On the highlight, this Bill is creating a new sub-section 3(a). view
