Speaker, currently, the Mining sector is regulated through the Mining Act, Cap.306, which was enacted in 1940. We are giving the country legislative proposal that will govern the mining sector which was ranked under the Act, Cap. 306 of 1940. One of the reasons why this legislation or Bill is very important is the need to align the mining law and legislation with the provisions of the new Constitution of 2010. The current law--- view
