  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: party in CORD which is my former party ODM, who believe in a parliamentary system of Government. I am not talking about the Wiper Democratic Movement of Kenya because the numbers that they have cannot take them to a presidential or parliamentary system. Wiper party has less than 20 Members of Parliament, so, they are neither in the parliamentary nor in presidential system. view
  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: So, hon. Speaker I beg to support. view
  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I want to confirm because it is on the HANSARD that I belong to a coalition with 217 Members in this House. I am a founder member of a party with 76 Members in this House and the only party that beats me in terms of a single party is ODM. view
  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker I want to confirm to the country like yesterday that the party of the Leader of Minority Party has less than 21 hon. Members in this House. Why do I say so? If you go parliamentary then you produce the Prime Minister. You must have the largest party. Today if we were in a parliamentary system, it is only ODM who could have produced a Prime Minister. view
  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, so in parliamentary governance, Wiper party cannot produce a Prime Minister. In a presidential system unless they form a coalition with TNA, URP and ODM, they are very far from producing a president. view
  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, if I was in ODM, I would have brought a petition to challenge the leadership of hon. Nyenze because he comes from the minority. How did he become the leader of minority? The leader of minority should have come from the ODM Movement. I beg to support. view
  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I rise to support this very important Bill and join my colleagues in thanking hon. Sang for introducing this Bill in the House. The setting up of the proposed body will help in creating professional management of the practice of physiotherapy in this country. As we very well know, all the other practices in medicine in this country are regulated by known bodies. Particularly, the practice of physiotherapy often involves caring and managing very delicate people, people with serious injuries who may not even be able to assist themselves or do very ... view
  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: knowledgeable people who have assisted many disabled people or people who have suffered injuries in places where there are no hospitals. This critical practice of medicine is lacking in many of our hospitals across the country. Unfortunately, most of our hospitals are not equipped with the necessary equipment for physiotherapy. My constituency is not an exception. In Balambala Constituency, there is not a single facility with any equipment, however simple it is, to help attend to people in need of physiotherapy. We are often required to move injured people hundreds of kilometres to get them to the nearest hospital where ... view
  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker. From the outset, I want to thank you most sincerely for allowing this Report to be back in the Eleventh Parliament. I had the privilege to serve in this Committee and many of us in that committee are not here. So, first, I also want to thank the people of Garissa Township for bringing me back so that I get an opportunity to contribute to this very important matter. view
  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, this matter is so important that I should have expected the whole House to be here. It is about our national security and I am happy because hon. Rege and hon. Gumbo are here. That is because in April 18th 2012, the Member for Emuhaya sought a question from the Minister for Defence who, by then, was none other than hon. Haji, the great Senator of Garissa County. It was on the status of San Marco Space Application Centre in Malindi. view
