Hon. Temporary Deputy Chair, this Bill is called “The Marriage Bill, 2013”. If you look at the Constitution, Islamic marriage is well covered under the Kadhis Courts. I had a raft of amendments and I have shared about them with the Chair. Where we have agreed, I have dropped them, but on the ones remaining--- As the Member of Parliament who represents 90 per cent of my constituents, who are Muslims, I feel that they should participate in this Bill.
