  • 27 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I think we have made a serious bipartisan move on this law. The Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution (CIC), the Law Reform Commission and the Cabinet had their input. The relevant Departmental Committee of Parliament developed a document where the functions of the Police Service Commission and those of the Inspector-General (IG) as the head and command of the operations are now well stipulated. I want to thank my colleagues and most sincerely the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security for taking time to talk to all the stakeholders. view
