If that is the case, the question is: How do we improve the lives of our police officers? Again, the same Parliament vetted and cleared the way for appointment of the Inspector-General of Police (AIG), one David Kimaiyo. I think the Government should bring here an amendment to that Act. The independence and mandate of the Inspector-General of Police in terms of his daily operations must be very clear from that of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC).
