I can say categorically that the Ministry of Livestock Development serves the highlands, the arid areas and all parts of this country, but unfortunately, hon. • 10 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the creation of the disease free-zones programme under the Ministry of Livestock Development, a flagship programme in Vision 2030 is barely three years old. This programme will be achieved in 2011/2012 Financial Year. This is a very expensive programme that will cost the Government and the donors close to Kshs10 billion. I want to report here that the African Development Bank has already committed US$16 million.
