This Bill seeks to establish the Office of the County Attorney which is the equivalent of the Attorney General, but not in terms of powers. Clause 4 provides for the establishment of the Office of the County Attorney in each county which is an office in the county public service. The office shall consist of the county attorney, the county solicitor and the county legal counsel. The governors appoint people without the approval of the county assembly. If this Bill becomes law, the county attorney will be approved by the county assembly.
