Pursuant to Article 113 of the Constitution and National Assembly Standing Order No. 146 and Standing Orders No.161 of the Senate, this Bill was referred to a Mediation Committee with the sole objective of developing a version of the Bill that would be presented to both Houses for approval. • 9 May 2019 in National Assembly: The Senate Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, through a Report laid on the Table of the House on 14th March, rejected Clause 2 on the definition of the term “holder” “warehouse receipt system” and sections: 11, 17, 21(5), 23, 24, 27, 31, 39. All these are in the Report that I tabled yesterday. The Senate rejected the National Assembly’s amendment to Clauses 2, 3 (3), 3(5), 4, 9, 10, 16, 21(4), 21(8), 30 and 50. So, let us not rush into conclusions.
