In the absence of a definition of what amounts to public interest which he or she can use to decline the registration of political parties, the registrar can in her opinion, use arbitrary means to determine or make a decision on the type of slogan for a party that she deems is in the public interest. This House must rise to the occasion. What we do in the evenings or what we do during the day is enough. view

Alice Wahome because the problem with this amendment is that there are unfettered powers given to the Registrar of Political Parties in deciding whether to allow registration or decline the registration of a political party, if among other things, the slogan of that political party, in the opinion of the registrar, is a matter of public interest.
