(d) by deleting the proposed amendment to section 5(1)(e) and substituting therefor the following new amendment - s.5(1)(e) Delete and substitute therefor the following new paragraph− “(e) three persons recruited and appointed by the Cabinet Secretary, one of whom shall at least hold a degree in pharmacy and two shall be from among persons who− (i) have at least a university degree in a relevant discipline; (ii) have at least ten years’ experience in management or in the health sector; and (iii) satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

The amendment talks about three persons competitively recruited and appointed by the Cabinet Secretary, one shall hold a degree in pharmacy and two shall be from among persons who have a degree from a university in the relevant discipline. They should have at least 10 years’ experience in management in the health sector and, of course, satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
