Speaker, in giving us direction on this matter, you must expound it and say to the House and the nation the provisions of the Constitution and the Standing Orders in as far as the mandate of this House is concerned. None of us here wants to do a witch-hunt. If you are corrupt, you are corrupt and you cannot be saved. Hon. Speaker, I beg to move the following Motion: THAT, pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 97(1), this House orders that during the Committee of Supply, after proposing the Question on a particular Vote, the Chairperson may allow debate, which is to be confined to that Vote, but such debate shall not exceed thirty (30) minutes and that thereafter the Chairperson shall forthwith propose the question for the programmes contained in that Vote.
