The Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2017 seeks to amend the Companies Act 2015 in order to improve on the operationalisation of this Act. This is a very important Act which was passed in 2015. It is one of the milestones of the Jubilee administration. Since Independence, this piece of legislation has not been in place. One year later, for it to ease the operationalisation of this Act, the Office of the Attorney-General and the stakeholders felt that they needed to bring some amendment to minimal sections of that law.
