The reason why I seek this amendment is that Section 7(6) of the principal Act is an offending provision under our Constitution. It seeks to create a coalition political party which does not exist. The term “coalition political party” does not exist within the Constitution. If you read the provisions of the Constitution in Articles 260 and 91, you will not find the term “coalition political party”. Therefore, coming up with the new term “coalition political party” within a legislation offends Articles 260 and 91. That is the spirit of this particular provision. view
