• 2 Jul 2015 in National Assembly: THAT Clause 24 be amended (a) in sub-clause (1) by deleting paragraph (b) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph - (b) a representative of each county government whose area falls within the basin; and (b) by deleting sub clause (2) and substituting therefor the following new sub clause− (2) The Cabinet Secretary shall, by notice in the Gazette appoint the chairperson from amongst the members appointed under subsection (1) (a), who shall hold office for a period of three years. view
• 2 Jul 2015 in National Assembly: This is an important amendment because it is pursuant to an agreement with the Council of Governors that every county be represented in the water body and that we also put in place situations as to who will be appointing the chair. We have given that power to the Cabinet Secretary. view
