• 28 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 49 of the Bill be amended in subclause 1- (a) by deleting the words "Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act" and substituting therefor the words "Subject to section 19"; (b) by deleting the word "six" and substituting therefor the word "twelve". Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, basically, this amendment seeks to harmonise the provisions of Clause 49 with those with Clause 19 as well as extending the transition period for the existing institutions to comply, from six months to one year. view
