  • 12 Aug 2020 in National Assembly: Joining a union is a right. In this era, you find some employer or organisation denying workers their right. That should not be allowed. In the sugar industry, we are headed towards privatisation, which has turned into leasing. But it is still privatisation. If that is the route, there must be organisations that will work for the interest of farmers, workers, stakeholders and so on. It is, therefore, fair that they should be allowed to form their union and enjoy their right. view
