• 26 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. On this one, I must applaud the Leader of the Majority Party. We must deal with a person who knowingly publishes information that is false in print, broadcast, data or over a computer system. This proposed new law will help us to deal with misinformation, false reporting and all kinds of mischief that come through this. I rise to support this new clause introduced by the Leader of the Majority Party so that we curb any attempt by any person to injure others falsely. Action must be taken against them. view

Leader of the Majority Party has alluded to what is happening in Kakamega. Those videos and whatever reporting that you have seen in social media did not happen in Kakamega. It happened somewhere in Kirinyaga two months ago. Nothing like that can happen in Kakamega. We do not do such things in Kakamega. view

It does not just come, it must also be planned. There has to be good plan. I am happy that recently, the Cabinet Secretary at a workshop in Naivasha mentioned that the Government was planning to introduce this process that we are talking about. Hon.
