• 2 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: THAT, Clause 65 of the Bill be amended by deleting the word ―ten‖ appearing immediately after the words ―a period of‖ and substituting therefor ―five‖. Clause 65 reads: ―A person who is convicted of an offence under this Act shall not be eligible to hold a public office or work with an entity owned in whole or in part by the State for a period of ten years following the conviction.‖ I am proposing that we reduce that period from 10 years to five years.
