Temporary Deputy Chairman, I have already said that this is meant to bring in taxation and compensation by Government for the acquisition of property for infrastructure development. The House is alive to the fact that billions of shillings are paid in form of compensation; some of the compensations is exaggerated. The proposal seeks to ensure that compensation is also taxed. view
