Temporary Deputy Chairman, the effect of this amendment is basically to change the words “officer of companies” to read “officers of corporate bodies”, so that the meaning can be more defined that it was before. So, we are making the meaning clearer than it was before. view

  • 23 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, that is a transitional clause in terms of the existing appeals under other tribunals established under the law. When we deliberated in my Committee, we agreed that six months is quite a long time. So, we reduced it from six months to ninety days which is three months so that we can move to the new Tribunal as soon as possible. That is the effect of that amendment. view
