Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I would like to join my colleagues by raising concerns over Nasewa land. For your information, I was among the Members who were investigating the issues of this land. I wish that the recommendations that we made at that time could be implemented. For your information, this matter was not handled by a joint committee. During the 10th Parliament, the Departmental Committee on Agriculture used to cover both land and environmental issues. It was just one committee. We did a wonderful job under the chairmanship of Rev. Mutava Musyimi. The recommendations we made were far ...

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I would like to join my colleagues, especially those who have congratulated the President for the State of the Nation Address. If you allow me, I will thank the Jubilee Government for appointing Mr. Fernandez Baraza, who comes from my constituency. He has been appointed the Managing Director of the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company. No one from my area has ever been appointed to such an important position. This helps to correct the impression that this Jubilee Governement is only appointing people from two communities. I am sure many people know that Fernandez Baraza ...

I advise our colleagues in the Opposition that if they want to oppose, they must be genuine and honest. Otherwise, opposing for the sake of opposing will not help Kenyans and will make Kenyans believe that you are actually not being truthful. On the issue of corruption, our brothers in the Opposition do not have any moral authority to stand here and say that the Jubilee Government is corrupt. This is still very fresh in the minds of Kenyans. I brought a Motion which was meant to amend a report that we had drafted as the Departmental Committee on Agriculture, ...

Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. Is the Hon. Member in order to mislead this House? For one to qualify to get a waiting card he must have gone through all the requirements needed to get an ID. That is why they call it a waiting card. It is because they cannot issue an ID at the station where they are issuing a waiting card. Is the Member in order to mislead this House?

Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to comment on this matter. I would like to thank Hon. Chris Wamalwa, who is my counterpart in the Minority side of this House, for bringing this Petition to the House. My Constituency is a victim of cancellation of results. We have two schools – St. Michael’s Makhwale and Lubinu Secondary School – with a total of 105 students, whose results were canceled. We are talking about the future of the students in those schools. I believe that we pay teachers to teach and not to assist students get funny results. ...

Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I did not intend to interrupt the business of the House, but I wanted to point out to you, as one of the leadership of this House, that at one point when we were in a workshop in Mombasa, we had proposed that Quorum Bell should be fixed in all the buildings where Members sit. I am sure we have Members in Continental House who do not know that we have a problem with quorum. Through the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) and as a matter of urgency given that Members are now all over, we ...
