  • 14 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. My constituency, Mumias, is an area where we have had big problems with tractors that carry very heavy loads of cane to the factories, and whatever amount that has been given by the Kenya Rural Roads Authority has not been enough to maintain these roads. Now that there is a levy that has been paid through Mumias Sugar Company, or whichever factories, why is the factory not able to channel the same amount to improve the roads in our respective constituencies? view
  • 14 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister is not explaining how they ascertain that the money that they disburse for roads in this particular sector is used. We have information that some of this money is diverted to repair some of the factories. view
  • 7 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, cases of poor workmanship on our roads are very common. For example, there are sections of a new road from Ebuyangu to Ekero where water overflows the road. This is the case and yet this is a new road that has not been handed over to the Ministry. What measures has the Ministry put in place to reprimand contractors who do poor work? view
  • 25 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, photographs or no photographs, do you think it is fair for our colleagues, lady hon. Members, to put on short dresses? We also get confused as Members of Parliament when we are here. view
  • 3 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, before I ask the Question, I would like to add that as per the HANSARD of 17th November, many aspects of this Question had been answered. The only bit that the Minister is supposed to answer is on how he acted on the recommendation of the Attorney-General. view
  • 3 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: This is the second time that this Question is coming to the Floor of the House. view
  • 3 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, thank you for that correction. view
  • 3 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security:- (a) Whether he could explain the circumstances under which Police Corporal Richard Obwayo Nerima (Force No.53135) was dismissed from the service; and, (b) whether due procedure was followed in his dismissal. view
  • 3 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I would like to thank the Assistant Minister. All I need to request is that whatever action they are going to take should be within the next two to three weeks. view
  • 3 Sep 2009 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security- (a) if he could explain the circumstances under which police Corporal Richard Ombwayo Nerima (Force No.53135) was dismissed from the service; and, view
