As we know, productivity is very important in the economy. This Paper has given us guidelines. If those guidelines are followed, then we will know that we are moving ahead. On behalf of Mwingi West Constituency, my family and myself, I send my condolences to the family of the late Senator Otieno Kajwang’ and the people of Homa Bay as a whole. For the short time I have interacted with the late Senator Otieno Kajwang’, I learnt that he was a very jolly man. He is a man who could change a moody crowd to a smiling crowd. May God rest his soul in eternal peace. view
  • 12 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I rise to support the amendments in Clause 18. I notice that the Authority will have to plan ahead because of the activities and the mandate it is supposed to perform. When funds are available for its operations, it will be very effective. In fact, most of the authorities or commissions fail to perform because of lack of funds. The amendment provides for enough funds for the Authority.   • 25 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I have done it twice but they are not amending it. But I rise to support this amendment realizing that we live with people with disabilities and we know how they suffer. This amendment has come at the right time and we hope that when it goes through, we shall have all the amendments agreed upon. Accessing buildings is a big deal and we hope that a law will come up that will ensure that any building coming up has such facilities for people living with disabilities. view
