There is one important issue that I want to say here and is important for the purpose of division of revenue, allocation of money to counties. The term for the Commission on Revenue Allocation is supposed to end at the end of December. We have advised Parliament to advertise those positions. First, some of the national schools in particular, have developed the tendency over the years to defy any directive that comes from the Ministry with regard to school fees. They, therefore continue to charge other fees, in effect becoming untouchable or sacred cows within the Ministry. • 30 Nov 2016 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker Sir, with regard to the Equalization Fund, Sen. Hargura asked how much money had been allocated to the Fund since the promulgation of the Constitution. The table has been provided in the Statement. The total entitlement for the six years is Kshs20 billion but Kshs12.4billion has been provided so far. view
