  • 8 Nov 2023 in Senate: Finally, I want to appeal to the lawyers of the Republic of Kenya. When you are a lawyer, it does not mean you are everything. I have listened to the presentation of Dr. Thiankolu, my own friend, about the evidence of IFMIS. I am shocked, completely. As the longest-serving Chairman of Public Accounts in the Republic of Kenya, I can confirm that I know IFMIS. Mr. Speaker, Sir, if you indulge me, no Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) report, comes out with one transaction; imprest, imprest, imprest, up to the end. No. IFMIS report comes out with what was ... view
  • 7 Nov 2023 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I would like the counsel for the County Assembly to help me. I am happy to be reminded that he teaches law to our children. The country has heard and seen that the Governor of Meru County was not in that video. Her voice was not heard in that video. So, what I would like you to help me, teacher of law, is the legal high standard of fishing expedition. Would you like to stand down from that video? This is purely because your witness has confirmed to this Senate and the whole Republic that ... view

  • 2 Nov 2023 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I do agree with the Senate Majority Leader that we should alter the hours of the House because this is a very important matter. Please allow me to use this opportunity to tell the people of Meru that there should be no confusion. The Committee of the Whole House in Plenary is just as good as the sitting of a Special Committee. I appeal to them at a personal level that I have had enough calls and received enough texts from the good people of Meru. We are going to make sure that the ... view

  • 2 Nov 2023 in Senate: Indeed, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it does not require any gainsaying to do so. You would be preaching to the choir. As far as the point of order is concerned, I would urge the Senator for Mombasa to learn from people who are more experienced. I, therefore, assure the people of Meru that we are up to the task. This is a serious matter and we shall dispense justice. view
