• 2 Aug 2023 in Senate: Cabinet Secretary can be allowed to borrow at not more than 5 per cent, this clause should be suspended for five years. If you pass a law to create debt anchor and suspend the clause that is supposed to be implemented, it means we are giving the Cabinet Secretaries an open cheque to borrow as they wish. It increased by 16.4 per cent between January and March, 2023. They collected a total of Kshs3.44 billion. I am still right that the Kenya Kwanza were collecting.
