I regret on behalf of the people of Kakamega, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kilifi and Isiolo counties that Kshs1.1 billion, which was earmarked for promoting accountability in delivery of services in those counties and reducing fraud, wastage and abuse of resources in the health sector has fallen on its face. • 5 Mar 2025 in Senate: the Universal Health Care (UHC) has succeeded elsewhere in the world, the funding model is clearly based on what comes from the National Treasury, what they realise from the contributions of members who subscribe to the programme for insurance and an element of out of the pocket.
