10 Jul 2014 in Senate:
Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I do not know whether I pronounced something that gave that impression. If I did, forgive me my brother. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, so that people do not miss out on the weight of this matter of five per cent, this party that you call UDF, that is not getting five per cent, is not a small party at all. We have 97 Members of the County Assemblies (MCAs), 11 elected Members of the National Assembly in the Lower House and two Senators in the Upper House. In addition, we have a nominated Member of the ...

8 Jul 2014 in Senate:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, in the Oxford English Dictionary, carnal knowledge is defined as having physical, sexual intercourse. So, even if the charge was moved from defilement or rape to carnal knowledge, it amounts to only one thing, that this teacher had physical, sexual intercourse with a child in class five. 8 Jul 2014 in Senate:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Senator for Meru has asserted that there is lack of political will for this project. It is clear that for us in the Opposition, we are ready and willing to ensure that funds are allocated for this particular project. This one suggests that the head of the military had---

8 Jul 2014 in Senate:
The Senate belongs to the Republic of Kenya and we are allowed to come up with debates. My point of order is that by that very insinuation, the Professor is revealing to this House that the military has started wading into the arena of politics. Nothing can be more serious than that.

12 Jun 2014 in Senate:
On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I want to agree with the Senate Majority Leader that this afternoon we are fewer compared to the Government side but that does not in any way say that we do not take parliamentary business seriously. Indeed, we do. I want to apologize on behalf of the Senate Minority Leader; that we are very busy adjusting our alternative people’s Budget, so that as soon as that people-unfriendly Budget has been read, we will then unveil ours in a rally in Migori.
