I strongly request colleagues in this House is to reject the attempt by the National Assembly to reduce the money that was meant for equalization to any other figure. When we moved from 14 counties to benefit from this fund to now 34 counties, we missed it by several kilometres. If today you look at the counties that benefit from equalisation fund, you will be shocked. A green county, the green jewel of Kenya called Kericho, is one of the counties benefiting. Gloria to withdraw her remarks and apologise to the successive governors of Turkana. They have never misused the Equalisation Fund. They do not have that money and that money has never been disbursed.
