  • 21 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, whereas I have no problem with that, my only concern is that I do not understand this pussyfooting and dilly-dallying that I am seeing. It is a fact that immediately after a census, anywhere in the world, governments of the world do post census analysis and immediately deposit those documents with the United Nations (UN). As far as we are concerned, those figures have already been deposited with the UN and, therefore, whatever they do, the population that they deposited is the population of Kenya. Why can they not just respond? But I support you. view

  • 21 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to augment what he has said. We know from the history of this kind of militia in the USA and the Middle East that they tend to target citizens, especially during religious holidays. Could the Minister also tell us the improved security he is providing to Kenyans, so that they can enjoy this Christmas knowing that there is sufficient security? view

  • 20 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister for Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs the following Question by Private Notice. Could the Minister clarify whether or not the determination and creation of 80 new constituencies before the 2012 General Election will take into account the 2009 census results which were nullified in eight districts in Northern Kenya? view

  • 20 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I do not know if the Assistant Minister has forgotten what he told the House some years ago. There was an executive order given and reported to the country through this House that no head of a school will be allowed to confiscate the certificate of a student. Could the Assistant Minister tell us on which date that executive order was vacated? view
