(a) I am aware that the National Water Conservation and Pipeline Corporation spent Kshs155,400,000 in the financial year 2006/2007 to drill and equip 43 boreholes and equip additional four boreholes in Samburu, Ijara, Moyale, Isiolo, Laikipia, Marsabit and Garissa districts. Drilling of boreholes was not done in Ijara District due to poor ground water potential in the area. (b) My Ministry has undertaken reforms in the water sector.
