  • 5 Dec 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I have been keenly listening to your communication that upon today’s adjournment, the Statements which will be asked will lapse. I do not want to act in futility. So, based on that and without wasting much time of the House and with your kind permission, I seek to withdraw my Statement. If I deem it necessary, I will take it up in the Fourth Session. Thank you very much. view
  • 4 Dec 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, this puts me in trouble because the speaker who was there before mentioned the Member for Embu and she never clarified whether it is me or Kalemba . Now I can see Cess is around. Is it in order for the Member who is contributing to mislead this House that President Moi never left us in debt while we know he left us way behind in matters of debt? It is only Hon. Kibaki who tried to bring us up. Is the Member in order to mislead this honourable House? view

  • 12 Sep 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain why the tarmacking of Kiritiri –Siakago Road (C397) stalled in 2016? (ii) Could the Ministry consider engaging a new contractor as the previous contractor has failed to meet his contractual obligations? (iii) What measures has the Ministry put in place to ensure that the road is completed as soon as possible, considering it is an important road serving the people of Mbeere North and Mbeere South constituencies? view
  • 11 Sep 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to ask Question No.389/2019 to the Cabinet Secretary for Education. (ii) What measures is the Ministry taking to ensure that the account is operational? (iii) Why the school was instructed to deposit back the money for reversal to the Central Bank and yet the school is needy? view

  • 21 Nov 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you for giving me this chance. Is the Member in order to mislead the House that this Bill was rejected by the National Treasury? During the public hearings, the representative of the National Treasury, none other than the Cabinet Secretary, gave his opinion. He never rejected it. There is a Report in this House from the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning, which does not reject the Bill. Hon. Deputy Speaker, you made a ruling last week. It is unfortunate that these Members were not here when you said that this Bill has to be canvassed. It is ... view
