  • 20 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, I am not sure about our calendar, but in view of the seriousness of this matter and in view of the fact that the House is handling almost similar matters and the same technocrats are appearing before the Committee, I would have requested the Chairman to ensure that the Statement is delivered before we go on recess. view
  • 23 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, pursuant to Standing Order 44(2)(c), I hereby request a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources concerning the Masinga/Kitui Water Supply Project. The project was initiated by the Government. It is being funded by the Government of Kenya and the African Development Bank. It is meant to benefit the whole of Kitui and Machakos counties. • 16 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, hon. Members have a lot of interest in this Motion. This hon. Member has requested for a minute. That one has also requested for a minute. I will then take the remainder of the time. view
  • 16 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I think everything has been said by all the speakers who have risen to support this Motion. I am really very pleased by the fact that we have not had even one single colleague opposing the Motion. To me, that is an indication of the seriousness with which we have taken this Motion. • 16 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: me thank all of you who have contributed. You were quite a number and I cannot mention all of you, starting from hon. Gitari, the Member of Parliament for Kirinyaga Central, who seconded the Motion. However, for all you, on behalf of our fellow Kenyans, I am very grateful. I have taken all the comments you have raised, including areas where there might be conflict with the existing laws and the Constitution; areas that we need to work on. In particular, we need to amend the Registration of Persons Act. I want to assure all my colleagues and the House ... view

They have registration infrastructure, coupled with the laptops that are going to primary schools. If that entire infrastructure is utilized, actually, we ... view
