Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise to support the Statement on the state of nut industry in Kenya. I have bought cashewnuts from Tanzania and sold to international investors. I know the price of cashew nuts and how much revenue it can bring to our country. If we support our farmers to plant these crops, it would bring revenue in our country. One tonne of cashewnuts in Tanzania is US dollars4600 currently and a tonne of maize does not cost as much.
