  • 6 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to seek your direction because last week, I sought a Statement from the Chairperson, Departmental Committee on Health regarding the dismissal of Dr. Joel Lutomiah from Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), and she was to report today. view
  • 6 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. This is a serious matter. I was watching television yesterday when the Senate was conducting its business and I was very perplexed. Process is very critical in determining an output. If the input is illegitimate, it is obvious the output is illegitimate. The process that was used by the Senate was fraudulent. It goes without saying that the output is fraudulent as well. It is not just on mediated Bills. For all Bills, the process must be followed to the letter. Parliament is an institution of record and tradition. There are dos and don’ts. We ... view
  • 6 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: you look at the Standing Orders of the Senate, there is nowhere it is stipulated that the Leader of the Majority Party or the Minority Whip can vote on behalf of the rest. So, it is obvious the output is fraudulent, illegitimate, and null and void. In fact, I was looking for Okiya Omtatah when I saw that. I have no doubt wherever Okiya Omtatah is, this is a matter he is looking at critically. We cannot accept something illegitimate from the Senate to come here. There is technology. There is Zoom. In this National Assembly, we have many holding ... view

When you propose an amendment, you should move it and then give reasons for the amendment. He is debating the amendment instead of moving it first. Up to now, we do not know the amendment. He is giving stories instead of moving the amendment. view
  • 4 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: No, he should respect people! view
  • 4 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. For informational purposes, the Deputy Leader of the Minority Party has no office. You are aware that Hon. Cecily Mbarire and I never had offices for those positions. As the Parliamentary Service Commission, you have been looking around to allocate us offices. We have been operating from the offices of our respective constituencies. It is unfortunate that the Minority Whip did not know that. That is why I said that many things happen on the Floor of this House which he does not know. I do not have an office for that position and you are ... view
  • 4 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: We need to respect each other. We have freedom of association and I am ready to leave the House. I was removed because of my association with the Deputy President, so be it. The Deputy President’s Office is the second highest office in the land and on matters of the church, we were together in Harambees for the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), the Catholic Church and the Africa Inland Church (AIC). So, if my association with the Deputy President was a problem, I have accepted and moved on. That is why in my tweets, I congratulated the new office ... view
