  • 16 Oct 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, the issues raised in the Question are very pertinent especially when the criterion for recruitment into the Kenya Defence Forces is very clear in the public domain, but all over a sudden, the Ministry decides to adopt a formula that is not well-known. The nature of the recruitment that is due to happen is bound to be skewed because it is against devolution where each and every place has a rightful share in employment. The moment the recruitment is done at the county level, it means they will be targeting some individuals and will deny other people ... view

  • 16 Oct 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, finally, it will be fair in future if a criterion is changed to be put to the public domain by communicating early for public participation to be conducted. As it is, it is an affront and it denies some people an opportunity to get that employment. view

  • 25 Jun 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I wish to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government the following Question: a) Is he aware that one Mr. Peter Makale of ID No. 21334490, from Makutanio Town of Nakalale Ward in Turkana North Constituency crossed over to Ethiopia in September 2017, through Kibish-Kangater border point using motor vehicle registration number 23CG056A, belonging to the Sub-County Administrator of Turkana County? b) Could he explain the whereabouts of Mr. Makale, considering that he was in touch with his family for the first six months before his disappearance and that his next of kin filed ... view

  • 24 Apr 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. From the outset, I wish to join my colleagues in giving remarks to the President’s Address. The President’s Address highlighted a number of key issues which are pertinent to governance, growth and unity in this country. On matters of unity, I totally agree with the President that Kenya must remain united regardless of its diverse culture, ethnicity, religion and other aspects of divergence. There is no country in the world that can move forward when it is not together. The initiative of putting all parties and the country together is the best way forward. ... view
  • 24 Apr 2019 in National Assembly: On corruption, it has become a chronic disease which has affected all Kenyans. It has eaten away all the economic gains that this country would have made. If only Kenya could prudently utilise its financial resources, we would now be playing in the league of Singapore, Malaysia and the United Kingdom (UK). However, because of eminent corruption, Kenya is facing what it is facing now. Therefore, as a Member of Parliament, and as a leader from Turkana, I support the President’s direction on matters of corruption. Corruption must be fought within the law. If you do it otherwise, you will ... view
